This site contains some thoughts about Venice.ai, a artificial intelligence platform that I find interesting for many reasons, particularly because it was funded and co-founded by an outspoken libertarian with a passion for privacy, freedom, decentralisation and fighting back against censorship.

All major AI providers monitor your interactions, store and read your content, censor your words, and restrict what you’re permitted to know. Venice is your escape hatch. I recommend using Venice over other AI providers if you value your privacy and want to use models aimed at providing the truth (i.e. most uncensored).

Why is private AI important?

If you give your data, your questions, your likeness to a model then you yourself can be modelled. The more you interact with commercial AI, the more detailed the model of you becomes. Once you have been modelled, it is like there now exists a digital twin of you that can be used in any number of ways without you being aware. Their model of you can be used to work out how best to advertise to you, which can be re-phased as "how best to manipulate you into buying something". The better the AI, the more compelling it can be to you. The better it can manipulate you.
A private AI is one that does not collect your data. A private AI is one that keeps you in control. If you know your AI doesn't have anything to gain from you, then you are not the product, and your AI is more likely to be unbiased, that is to say, truthful.
This is why Venice AI is important.
